West Hawaiʻi
New & Growing

Hoʻōla
ʻŌiwi

Listening to our community.
Learning from those around us.
Sharing the stories that deserve to be remembered.

Hoʻōla ʻŌiwi Foundation is a new nonprofit growing here in West Hawaiʻi. Our work is taking shape through relationships with families, schools, community organizations and the people already doing the work. From education and maternal health to culture, wellness and storytelling, we are learning where we can help and building from there.

We are listening, learning and building relationships across West Hawaiʻi. We want our work to grow from honest conversations and a clear understanding of where we can be useful.

Developing with community

Our Projects

Hoʻōla ʻŌiwi Foundation is developing community rooted projects that support ʻohana, strengthen opportunities, and respond to the needs we hear throughout West Hawaiʻi.

Each project begins with listening, relationship building, research, and a commitment to growing thoughtfully alongside our community.

Stories matter

Listening Helps Us Remember

Stories carry family histories, community knowledge and lessons that might otherwise be lost. As we grow, we hope to listen with care and help preserve voices that can guide future generations.
