Waiū Maternal Health & Storytelling Project

Waiū is a statewide maternal health and storytelling project created to support Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander mothers, parents, families, and culture.

The project honors breastfeeding and chestfeeding stories, birth experiences, indigenous motherhood, postpartum wellness, and the wisdom carried through family and community care.

Free Breast Pumps Statewide

Waiū is being developed to gift breast pumps to participating mothers across Hawaiʻi, helping families access support wherever they live.

Waiū App Development

The Waiū app is planned as a simple storytelling and check-in tool for maternal wellness, feedback, and community-rooted learning.
